Gourmet Goat is sustainable food business based in the iconic Borough Market. They use sustainable British ingredients to create their East Mediterranean village dishes. They have won awards for their street food made by ethical meats by UK dairy farms like kid kofta and rose veal. As well as being full of flavour, the dishes are also very healthy. More of a reason to come try something new!
This business is run by Nadia and Nick Stokes. Nadia grew up in rural Cyprus, and used food to connect to her past after her family lost everything during the Turkish invasion. When she moved to the UK, she wanted to bring all of that flavour of Mediterranean dishes with her. This husband and wife team then created this amazing business. Within 20 months this businesses has achieved an enormous amount, including a 5 Star Time Out rating and BBC Food & Farming Street Food of the year 2016.
East Mediterranean food is lacking in the UK - Gourmet Goat sets the bar high! It is lovely to see their passion for sustainability and reducing waste as much as possible. Employees show this passion and are happy to talk all about their sustainability policies. They are also very energetic and positive people who seem like they love to be there. A lovely atmosphere!
